A Slow Descent - Chapter OneSerdin nodded once before he took a slow step forwards, one hand raised in a small gesture of peace towards the griffin before him. The beast raised its head and eyed my mentor. Serdin spoke; "Watch now, Threld, and listen carefully. Once I speak the words, we will be able to speak with it." His gaze shifted slowly to meet my eyes. "Don't forget to make notes." He turned his eyes back to the griffin before him and began to speak slowly; the strange arcane words rolling thickly off his tongue.
